| After graduating UCLA with a BS degree in Finance, Bob Bregman served two years in the USAF as a First Lieutenant stationed in Rabat, Morocco and Tripoli, Libya. He then spent seventeen years at Abbey Rents Co., a division of Consolidated Foods (now Sara Lee Corp.), rising to Executive VP of Abbey. He left in 1979 to start West Side Supply Co. to service the hospitality industry with special emphasis on airlines. In 1981, he changed the name of the company to WESSCO International to reflect the growing International nature of the business. The growth has been dynamic — from three employees in 1979 to 37 today in the U.S., plus an additional twenty in WESSCO’s offices in China and Vietnam. |
